The Austin 10/4 Lichfield offered the pre-war buyers from the professional classes that little extra room and horsepower compared with the ubiquitous 'Seven'. The dashboard was well equipped and finished in polished wood, opening front screen, fold-flat boot lid which could accomodate a travelling trunk and 12 volt electrics made this model an immediate success.
This London registered example remains in very original and useable condition and was last Mot'd in 2009 since when it has been carefully stored. It starts readily, settles down to a quiet tickover and both clutch and brakes function as they should. Bodywork is solid and paintwork reasonable. An ideal candidate to use and improve as required in the sound knowledge that its value should never diminish.
